#72/365--Facial

My sweet friend, Andrea, now a BeautiControl consultant, came to visit me at my mom's tonight. I haven't seen her in about a year or so, and it was very good to catch up. Dre' and I met in college, became roommates and realized we were kindred spirits. We were besties almost immediately. No matter how much time we spend apart, once we get together again it's as if no time has passed. Tonight, she gave us her spa treatment. It's always fun to be pampered. :) love me some Andrea time!!

Off they go, into the wild...

Movie night, just us girls, while the kids are out camping.

#70/365--Buildings

Stuck in traffic, on the way to Arkansas, I was noticing how beautiful the Dallas skyline is in the sunset. I wondered to myself, how awful it must be to have buildings coming down all around you and waves crashing in on you--thinking of all that was and is happening in Japan right now. This sight, in a matter of seconds, caused me to be very thankful for my life. My family, my friends...all of it.

#69/365--Open House and Packing

above, angle one: from the door of my classroom, before open house

and below, angle two: from the opposite corner of my classroom,

(Pay no attention to that mess right there on those shelves!)

Then, I came home to finish laundry and pack for our

#68/365--It Left a Mark

Once upon a time, I had a toilet that kept running and running...
I knew--since I'd had this problem before--that I needed to tighten that little screw right there--on the top of the floaty bobber thingy.  And to do that, I'd need a flathead screwdriver (You never knew I was so mechanically literate did you?).  I went downstairs to the place where I keep my tools...

...see that top shelf...yeah that's it...that's where my "tool box" is stored...
This is my "tool box."
I reached up to "shimmy" said "tool box" into a position so that I could grab it and pull it down (since I am a tad vertically challenged).  In doing so, the drawer on the "tool box" opened up, fell forward, and hit me on the forehead...
...right there on the upper right side (my left--your right)...

...yeah...that scratch.  And it hurts, too.
Guess I'll have to find a better spot for my "tool box."
And my toilet is still running, even after I tried to shut it off.
Guess I'll have to find a better plumber?
