#11/365--Hair

My old stylist left me.  There was no "Dear John," letter...I never saw it coming.  A whole year and a half together--from long to short to growing it back out...and then...gone.  Vanished.  I felt so lost.  Alone. For awhile, I managed on my own. But, after three months, It was time for a cut.  A friend of mine set me up with someone new.  I was apprehensive at first.  Would she understand my hair needs?  Would she leave me high and dry as other stylists have?  Would she care what I wanted?

After our first appointment, I felt elated.  Love isn't the word, yet.  I'm taking it slowly this time around.  Wanna be careful not to get too attached.  Not just yet.  But, I think I've found my new stylist.

#10/365--Burning Irony

This afternoon, I put this bulletin board up at school...
(yes, I know Antarctica should be white...)
After showing this pic to Lauren she says to me, "Oh cool!  You can help me with my Science project..."
Little did I know it involved all of these big words and definitions and theories that I haven't heard for ages...
She has to "predict" how the "ring of fire" will move over the next 100 million years...

...Alas, fair daughter, you'll have to fend for yourself, once again...

#9/365--Snowfall

It snowed today, in north Texas.  The first snow this season.
Here it is...

...as seen through the window of my "mom-mobile."
And it lasted all of...maybe 2 hours.
I love snow.  I sure hope for more in the near future!

#8/365--Sorting

I'm not what you might call a "Type A" person.
According to Wikipedia,
"The theory describes a Type A individual as ambitious, aggressive, business-like, controlling, highly competitive, impatient, preoccupied with his or her status, time-conscious, and tightly-wound. People with Type A personalities are often high-achieving "workaholics" who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence."
As for Type B personalities,
"The theory describes Type B individuals as perfect contrast to those with Type A personalities. People with Type B personalities are generally patient, relaxed, easy-going,
and at times lacking an overriding sense of urgency."
If you know me and have seen my house, then you know this to be true. I, quite frequently, lack that overriding sense of urgency.  Hey...I prioritize things.  I keep things in perspective.
Some things are more important than others.
But.
Silverware. In the right place. In the dishwasher...
Now that is something that is urgent.
Spoons with spoons.
Forks with forks.
Knives with knives.
Thank you.
